Practical, reward based training for dogs and puppies

Need help with your dog or puppy’s walking, recall, focus or confidence?

I offer practical, reward based dog training in Loughborough and the surrounding villages. I support dogs, puppies and their owners with everyday skills that make life together feel calmer, safer and more enjoyable.

Training can help with loose lead walking, recall foundations, puppy skills, basic training cues, focus, check ins, confidence and calmer habits around everyday distractions.

Every dog is different, so we start where your dog or puppy can succeed and build from there.

Training support for you and your dog

I can support you with:

• Loose lead walking
• Recall foundations
• Focus and check ins
• Confidence on walks
• Basic training cues
• Calmer behaviour around distractions

Training is tailored to your dog, your routine and the places where you need the skills to work.

Loose lead walking

If your dog pulls towards smells, people, other dogs, traffic or the park, loose lead training can help. We can work together on calmer walking, focus and check ins around real life distractions. The aim is not a perfect heel. It is a walk you both enjoy.

Recall training

Recall training helps your dog build a stronger reason to come back when called. We work step by step using clear cues, rewards, motivation, distance and distractions.

This can be helpful for dogs who love to sniff, explore, play, chase or follow their nose.

Puppy and young dog foundations

Early training helps puppies and young dogs build useful skills for home, walks and the outside world.

I can support with:

• Recall and loose lead basics
• Focus and check ins
• Confidence in new places
• Calm greetings
• Lead and harness confidence
• Basic cues such as sit, down, leave it and settle

Puppy training is about building confidence, trust and good habits from the start.

Training walks

A training walk is a one to one walk where I work with your dog directly. These walks can support loose lead walking, focus, check ins and calmer habits while out and about. They can work well for dogs who need more structured support as part of their routine.

One to one training sessions

One to one sessions are for owners who want practical coaching and a clear plan to follow. We look at what your dog finds difficult, what is happening now and what small steps will help next. You will come away with simple, realistic training to practise between sessions.

My approach

My training is force free and reward based. I focus on helping your dog understand what we want, rewarding the behaviour we want to see more of, and building confidence at your dog’s pace.
